Description

Martha Reed graduated from Oklahoma A&M College (OAMC) in 1944 with a degree in Art. She shared memories of her father, Doel Reed, and her mother, Elizabeth Reed and discussed her father's role in establishing the art department at OAMC. She also spoke about her early museum work, about moving to Taos, New Mexico, and about opening her Martha of Taos shop where she sold clothing she had designed. Further, she described the process of making broom skirts, for which she was known, and talked about the family's adobe homes.
