Description
Max Newberry, third-generation owner of the Newberry Ranch, discussed the history of the land and the family that claimed it in 1900. The original 160 acre farm produced wheat, cotton, cattle, and sorghum cane. Most members of the family, including Max, earned college degrees and held jobs off of the ranch. Max worked as a professional engineer while also managing a portion of the then 1,750 acre ranch. At the time of the interview cattle and wheat were the main products of the ranch.
