Michele Smith, a 1990 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) majoring in health wellness, recalls her early life growing up in rural New Jersey and her involvement in sports at a young age. She describes her time at OSU as a student athlete and some of the challenges she faced. Smith talks about recovering from a serious injury, playing softball in the College World Series, and about her coach Sandy Fischer. She also discusses her time as an Olympic softball player, her career as a professional softball player in Japan, and life after softball.
