Raymond Fields interviews pioneers at the 66th birthday celebration of Okemah: Ruff Musgrove, John Curtis, Walter Binum, D. Williams, Lillie Fields Molan, Ammie Copeland, Jennetta Brook Kesser, Edith May Fields, J. D. Keezer, Ethel Warren, May Baldwin, Albert A. Herold, Roland Green, Mrs. Sam T. Farmer, John Armstrong, Kate Rutland, Marie Green, Mrs. C. B. Lawnmur, and Sina (Ward) Metre. They tell when they came to Okemah and some of their earliest memories of it. Mr. Fields later tells some of the background of Okemah and reads from some of the early Okemah newspapers.
