Description
Ola and Charlotte Fouquet, third-generation owners of the Deffenbaugh Homestead Ranch, discussed the history of the land and the family that acquired it in 1891. Originally, the land produced cattle, horses, hogs and chickens as well as corn, cotton, hay, and sorghum. For a short time, Ola's family ran a dairy, but at the time of the interview small grains and cattle were the main products. Ola spoke about growing up on the farm, and Charlotte and he shared stories about raising their children on the land.
