Description
Owen Covel, an early resident of Tahlequah, attended the Cherokee Male Seminary there in 1907 or 1908. He discusses the Cherokee Male and Female Seminaries, his personal background, sports in early Tahlequah, and the public hanging at the town gallows. He also talks about the physical appearance of Tahlequah.
