Patricia Alexander, a 1987 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) majoring in management information systems, came to Oklahoma in the 1980s as an international student from El Salvador. She explains how she came to be at OSU, her struggles as an English as a foreign language student, and her interest in the Latin Student Association. Alexander describes growing up in El Salvador and how her family has been impacted by OSU. She shares a few of her memories as a student and then outlines her career path here at OSU. Alexander has worked in the OSU psychology department since 1992 and is a strong proponent of diversity. This is part of the Latino Americans: 500 Years of History project.
