Description
Phil and Frances Macy, third-generation owners of the Alfred and Joella Murry Homestead, discussed the history of the land and the family that purchased it in 1900. Originally the farm produced wheat, corn, hay, cotton, and livestock in addition to a large vegetable garden and orchard. When Phil and Frances acquired the land, they turned their efforts more to preserving the land and the farm's original structures. The Macys referred to the homestead as the Blue Bird Farm.
