Description
Ray and Joyce Ryel, fourth-generation owners of the Ryel Farm bartered for in 1903, discussed the history of the land and the family that purchased it. Family history claims that a set of mules and a wagon were traded for the land. The original 160 acre farm produced mainly wheat. Ray and Joyce married in 1973 and only six months later moved to the farm. At the time of the interview the Ryels were continuing to live on the farm and wheat remained the primary product.
