Description
Richard Sharp joined the Marines in 1948 and served during the Korean War. He discusses his training, being assigned to machine guns, the journey to Korea, and preparing for a combat landing. Sharp recalls various battle engagements including the battle that took place at the Chosin Reservoir, losing friends and fellow Marines, and the inhumanity of war. He talks about his experiences in Hell Fire Valley, having survivor's guilt, and adapting to civilian life.
