Richard Poole received a doctorate degree in economics, the first for the program, from the then College of Business Administration at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in 1960. Poole talks about his military service and his educational path. He also describes his career from earning the rank of full professor to moving into administrative positions including dean and later vice president for the university. Poole discusses his work with NASA, other faculty members, and with OSU.
