Robert Sandmeyer completed his graduate work at Oklahoma State University's College of Business Administration, now Spears School of Business, receiving his doctorate in 1962. He discusses how he then joined the faculty ranks at OSU and began his research and teaching career. Sandmeyer, dean of the college 1977-1994, talks about focusing on improving opportunities for faculty and students alike, serving as the first director of the Office of Research and Economic Development, and building community partnerships. He also describes some of the developments in the program, new directions, endowed chairs, and student success efforts.
