Roberta Thomas and her daughter Lori McMillin, third and fourth-generation owners of the Oscar O. Runyan Homestead claimed in 1893, discussed the history of the land and the family that claimed it. The original 160 acre homestead produced wheat, barley, alfalfa, horses, and dairy cattle. The farm was eventually passed down to third-generation heir, Dean Thomas and his wife, Roberta. At the time of the interview Roberta continued to live on the farm and manage operations such as the production of wheat and alfalfa.
