Roger Panciera, a 1957 graduate of Oklahoma State University's (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine and well-known veterinary pathologist, talks about the 1957 anthrax outbreak that affected thousands of animals in and around Oklahoma. He describes what anthrax is and how it is spread. Panciera discusses his work with identifying the disease and notes some of the people who helped with the process as well as some of the organizations that worked to control the epidemic. He also comments on the impact of this event and on the science behind its solution.
