Russell Conway, World War II veteran and longtime educational administrator, discussed his rural upbringing and his lifelong career in education in Oklahoma. He recounted his involvement in the European Theatre, as well as his service on numerous educational boards, and as Director of the Office of High School Relations at Oklahoma State University (OSU) under Dr. Robert Kamm and later under Dr. Richard W. Poole. He provided insight into the inner workings of how OSU's student enrollment program became well-respected nationally with enrollment becoming the largest in the state by the mid-1970s. Conway also discussed leadership traits, his values, and the successes that come with a strong work ethic. He earned a bachelor's degree (1950) and a master's degree (1954) from Oklahoma A&M College, now known as OSU.
