Sharon Sharp was born in Nowata, Oklahoma and attended grade school there. Her parents were involved in Republican politics and for a time her father was the Nowata County Republican Party chairman. It was in this role that he became acquainted with Henry Bellmon, and in turn, how Sharon came to know the entire Bellmon family.
