Ted Fisher 04/26/2011

Ted Fisher, born in 1941 in Holton, Kansas, moved to Jenks, Oklahoma at a young age. In 1986, Fisher was elected to the Oklahoma State Senate where he served for twenty years. During his tenure, he served in a variety of leadership roles including Senate majority leader and chairman of the Senate Economic Development Committee, along with numerous committee assignments. Fisher authored or co-authored various pieces of legislation including the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Act, the Juvenile Justice Reform Law, and the Welfare Reform Act. As a Democrat, he also voted in favor of House Bill 1017 which was put forth by Republican governor, Henry Bellmon.
