Description
Tom Mooney, a developer of the Trail of Tears Art Show, talks about his childhood, his interest in museum work, and how he came to work at the Cherokee National Heritage Museum. He explains his role in the early days of the art show, some of the challenges and the different developments he helped with, like sponsorship, judging, and adding new categories of art. Mooney mentions a few of the specific people he has worked with and who have also helped with the growth of this show. He shares some of his memories from the show and discusses his own art collection.
