Toneh Chuleewah, a professional artist and jewelry designer, discusses his early exposure to jewelry design and metalsmithing by his father. He talks about his first experience at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) and putting his art career on hold to open up a bike shop in Texas. After returning to the IAIA later in life with his son and earning a degree in museum studies, Chuleewah describes some early art shows and awards that encouraged him to pursue art full-time. He comments on his creative process and influences as well as the materials that he uses in his work.
