Description
Tyra Shackleford has been finger weaving almost her entire life but has only recently started sharing her work as an artist. She talks about growing up and being encouraged to learn more about her Native heritage and culture. She explains how she first learned finger weaving and why she decided to start creating artwork. She describes the different techniques she uses and the different types of items she can make. She mentions a few of her projects and comments on the research she does to understand more about the traditional work of her ancestors.
