Description
Pauline Hodges, retired college professor and high school teacher, recalls her early childhood during the Dust Bowl days in the Panhandle of Oklahoma. She shares memories of one-room schools, relocating for her father’s work, and learning economic and conservation issues early in life. Hodges discusses her career in teaching and her interest in the history of her region. She also explains her role as a consultant for Ken Burns during the making of The Dust Bowl documentary.
