Description
Velva Rence, wife of third-generation owner Dave Rence, discussed the history of the David H. and Emma V. Rence Homestead, settled in 1893, and the shared heritage of living on the land. At the time of the interview the land was leased for grazing cattle, but originally the farm produced wheat, corn, and fruit trees. Velva shared the traditions and memories of the family as well as her hope that the farm remains in the family for future generations.
