Description
Verne L. Willits is a 1942 graduate of Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University (OSU), with a degree in agricultural economics. He recalls his days on campus, being in the band, interacting with Allie Reynolds, and socializing at Aggie Drug. Willits explains some of the challenges he faces as well as having to interrupt his education due to finances. He also some about his experiences in World War II as a pilot and about his career in the cattle business. Willits represents Major County in the Cowboys in Every County project.
