Vernon Askew, Alan Askew & Andy Askew 05/27/2009

Vernon Askew and his sons Andy and Alan, fifth and sixth-generation owners of the Isaac S. Favor Farm, claimed in 1889, discussed the long history of the land and their family. When the farm was claimed, the Favor family worked on clearing the land, raising hogs and cattle, while also growing wheat. Through several generations of ownership, the land proved not to be the most productive farm land and at the time of the interview its primary use was family recreational activities.
