Virginia Walker is a 1957 graduate of Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University (OSU), with a degree in home economics. She worked as a 4-H and home demonstration county agent for many years in Washita County, Oklahoma. Walker explains her educational path and how she became a county agent. She describes her responsibilities with 4-H, then with the adult programs later on under home demonstration, and eventually as the county director. Walker discusses some of the challenges she has faced and why she chose to stay in the same county for her entire career.
