Description
Wally Funk, a 1960 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) with a degree in secondary education, discusses her love of flying and aviation. She recalls her youth and her growing interest in and experience with airplanes. Funk outlines her college time at OSU and her role in the Flying Aggies student club. She takes us through her career from flight instructor to accident inspector to the NASA Mercury 13 project. Funk explains the Ninety-Nines club of women pilots and the Wally Stick and gives her thoughts on space travel.
