William Harjo has been making flutes and playing flute music for many years. He talks about growing up and traveling around for school. He explains how he first became interested in flute making and playing and how that grew into a career. He describes the different types of flutes he makes and the different places he travels to demonstrate flute making and to perform his own flute songs. He comments on the history of this art and how he tries to keep his work traditional. He also acknowledges the role of storytelling in flute music.
