Description
Yatika Starr Fields discusses his creative approach, subject matter, and techniques, as well as the difficulty of painting in New York and the competitive aspect of live painting. He talks about the influence of his Osage heritage on his life and art, and his travels to Australia and Barcelona, among other places. He recalls how he finished his first mural project in two weeks, his Oklahoma landscapes series based on his childhood memories of water and land. He also explains his newly discovered interest in series painting in which each piece is intimately and directly connected to another.
