ListenOK

How to Participate

Do you have oral history interviews in your collections? We want to include a record of them in ListenOK! No series of interviews is too small or too big. ListenOK identifies and shares descriptions for thousands of oral history interviews made accessible by Oklahoma institutions (such as libraries, archives, and cultural heritage institutions) and provides a centralized searching point for these unique collections. Basically, there is a three-step process for participating:

Step One: Contact the Oklahoma Oral History Research Program

Step Two: Share any basic inventory of your collection.

At least:

  • institution (repository) name
  • collection name
  • interviewee name

Preferred, the above information plus the following:

  • interviewer name
  • interview date
  • subjects/keywords
  • short description (for interview and collection)
  • collection level URL

Step Three: Send the inventory spreadsheet to OOHRP for ingestion into ListenOK.

Don’t have an inventory list, we can talk about other paths towards participation. Contact us!
